Up-regulation of miR-20a ameliorates sevoflurane anesthesia-induced cognitive impairment in rats by targeting EphA4

 Purpose: To evaluate the role of miR-20a in sevoflurane (SEV)-induced cognitive impairment rats and to elucidate mechanism action.
 Methods: A SEV-induced rat model was developed. The Morris water maze test fear assay were carried out assess impaired learning memory. cellular SEV-impaired developed level measured animal models. TUNEL staining immunoblot performed determine SEV effect on apoptosis. Bioinformatic analysis luciferase conducted identify target action. rescue involving overexpression models used function defects.
 Results: showed significant upon treatment, which inhibited expression promoted neuronal Further findings identified EphA4 as a miR-20a, regulates its expression. Overexpression effectively reduced dysfunction apoptosis hippocampus somatic cells caused by treatment.
 Conclusion: Evidently, ameliorates anesthesia-induced thus has potential serve therapeutic for treatment post-operative dysfunction.
